Ya I might just give her my W-2 and let her do it with her mom, since that is what she likes to do. So if she wants to she is welcome to.
Ice is going to be a definite problem tomorrow... That is going to make it, fun. Especially since they did a meh job on the roads...
A warmup would be great. Especially if it stays warm, but it won't. I'm over the snow.

yep, over the snow...and cold temps...below 0 last night here...and my car really didnt appreciate it (either of them--including the one IN the garage)...not liking the really high snow piles on the sides of the roads either--cant see around them at all! (and almost got zonked by a snowplow coming around the corner of my subdivision--they havent widened the passage for 2 cars let alone a car and a WIDE plow! good thing there was a driveway nearby).

My car didn't like it much either. And it seems as though one of my tire pressure monitors has gone bad. So now it keeps the low tire pressure light on. Even if it isn't.... Yay. Might be able to clear it and not have to see it though. Since I have driven for years without one of those.
Our parking lot still is only wide enough for one car to pass in most places. Makes it lots of, fun...

I disappeared :/
- Car was dead, had to replace the distributor.
- Next week is my last week of current work before moving within the company to a better job. This week has been ridiculously unproductive.
- Hung out with someone I hadn't seen in a year and we fell right back into the swing of things. It was great.
- Made up with another someone that things had been rocky with.
- Met my wife's latest someone.
- Getting to meet a new someone today after work!
- I've got a lot of someones in my life.

Yes you did. You are meeting lots of someones. Though when you said met wife's latest someone it sounded like wife was cheating on you with this someone and you caught them. Of course it probably just meant new friend.
Sigh, yesterday was not a fun day... I ended up having to go to work, we had no subs available so I went in sick. Ended up having chills, headache, stuffy nose, fatigue, and a sore throat all day yesterday. Then of course the girls in my 5th hour decided to be loud and obnoxious about another girl. Used a lot of energy to tell them to get over it and grow up. Of course these girls always have to get their say in no matter what. Apparently the issue stems outside my classroom, but administration hasn't done anything about it. Of course the girl that the other girls were whining about happened to be the principal's daughter, whose wife is a major helicopter parent. I knew she was going to come in, and she did. Did not need that yesterday. Those issues happen once in a blue moon in my room, but every time they do she is in there that day... The issues are really outside my class, in a totally different hallway. Nothing I can do about those, it's an administrative issue. I think I'm just going to start sending kids to the office to complain to our assistant principal. Always fun to have that chat when you are experiencing chills and fatigue...

iiiiick....sorry to hear you are ill (had that right after new years). Always bad when things are carried over into your space, and yeah, send them to the principals office (thats what they do).
Get some sleep and hope you have nothing to do today pwnd!
met the new branch manager at my bank ...we seem to have a new one every few months, hard to keep track of them (they all look alike in the same suit, same glasses...) thought he was the last one...ah well....
and the assssssociation decided they had to put someone on our roof yesterday (yes with the almost 2' of snow on it)...just to remove a small patch of snow over the front door---took him about 1/2 hour at 8am to do this (and yes, I was trying to sleep). and today the snow is melting...they could have just waited, seriously!

Pwned: I couldn't do what you do. Being dragged into teenage drama just seems awful.
And I didn't mean it that way at all! My wife and I make a lot of new friends, is the simplest way to put it.

Thanks, I'm thinking if my throat still hurts tomorrow I am going to go to a prompt care for a strep test... Because if it is strep that is something I can get treated, which would be awesome. If it isn't and it is just due to a cold or another virus then I know just to rest...
Teenage drama sucks big time... This is the first time I have ever had this big of a problem with it. Part of it I think is because the mom is a helicopter parent, so I always have to step carefully so she doesn't charge in guns blazing... Doesn't make it any easier. And I think some of it too is that the girl gets some special privileges since her dad is the principal, or at least that is how the other students perceive it.
I don't normally talk to bank managers, mainly because I don't visit the bank often.
I figured that is what it was d4, just sounded weird lol.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's weird then!
I made tomato soup because my throat hurt. Didn't really help though. Speaking of that. Just got back from a 3 hour adventure at PromptCare. Took 2 hours just to be seen because people kept using it like an emergency room. I kept getting skipped over because people were coming in with emergency symptoms. Like come on people, go to the ER for that stuff! So it took forever because they kept having to call the ambulance. Once I was able to be seen it went pretty quick. They did a rapid strep test that came back positive. So I have strep, woo. Now I know what I have and I'm on an antibiotic so that I can start feeling better. Go team!

havent had strep...since....college? yukky stuff...take care of yourself!
our branch is very small--I know the personal banker and sometimes there is another one, then the bank manager--other than the 4-5 tellers (who know me by now as well), so its hard not to get to know some of them. (been doing some ira stuff, and that requires a personal banker--when they arent around the BM has to do that, which is how I met the last one).
Not sure I know what a helicopter mom is...think I know what a soccer mom is, guess not having kids have left me out of some of the new stereotypes/whatevers.
had beef tacos for dinner...had some leftover parts from the quasidillas hubby made the other night so had to use them up.

I haven't had strep since high school I believe. So 10+ years. Started my antibiotics and have just been resting on the couch. About to go back over there, just had to hop on to check some emails I sent out about work tomorrow.
Helicopter moms/parents are ones who are always right there. If something happens to their child they are in that day guns blazing. They don't let their child handle situations, they run in and try to handle it for them. It is not good for the kid as they never learn to be independent. Usually it is seen more in early Jr. High or Elementary, not quite as much by High School. But we still get some.

Hope you get tuesday off (isnt that presidents day?--or is that next week....calendar where are you? ah... that would be next week. couldnt you have waited to come down with it? )

My parents were never like that either. They only came to school on parent teacher conferences. Other wise we were left to handle situations on our own. That is the way it should be. You can't rely on mom and dad to always run in and save the day.
I don't remember what it was like the last time I had strep other than my throat hurt. And my throat hurts now as well. So it can stop. I feel like I have more energy today though, which I think is a good sign.
I haven't played Diablo 3 in a long time. I got it when it came out and was fairly disappointed. Got a Demon Hunter to lvl 60 and played with a friend, but haven't really played much since. Might have to think about reloading it since people are saying its a lot more fun now.

dont think I will play another character type game again---I get tooooooooo...oooo attached to my characters (they are like my children) did the same thing with all the art I made --I still have 90+% of them because I was unable to part with them after I created them, I would be a horrible parent! (part of why I stopped being an artist--could never get up the ^%#@ to sell my 'kids'). AND part of the reason I never had kids, I have seen what having a child die does to the parents (my brother-in-law died when he was only 41)....THAT is a feeling I never ever want to feel. While I might be giving up the joy of having grandkids, weddings and birthday parties, I couldnt outweigh those other feelings. I do have a dozen nieces and nephews, so I have gotten to see their birthdays and a few weddings (no kids yet!), and I am fine with having that.
I remember when my hubby had strep--he cant swallow pills so he had the liquid, only problem being it has to be refrigerated...we were in college at the time so I had it in my fridge and would have to go back to my dorm room every 4 hours to get it--give it to him and return it to the fridge, what a royal pain! Last time I had it was not as bad as the last virus I had last summer---that felt like I was trying to swallow red hot broken glass with acid on it, I tried NOT swallowing as much as I could (which made it worse)...I dont care to remember it (or relive it in any way)
on cheerier notes....snow: did some melting this weekend...I can see the top of the railing on the balcony! dinner: hubby made shrimp scampi, turned out pretty dang good (though I like more garlic).
Hope you are getting plenty of rest now pwnd!

I can at least swallow pills. It's not the worst pain I've ever had but it is darn inconvenient... Makes sleeping harder since too much pain wakes me up. I am going to venture out today to get some ibuprofen since my throat is still swollen. I'm hoping that knocks down the swelling and helps.
Snow did melt. But it is supposed to be cold cold cold on Saturday. Good thing we are planning a day in on Saturday.
I'm trying to get plenty of rest. Haven't done much of anything other than sit around. Lots of fluids as well. Water has been my friend these past few days.

50% off pizza? That sounds incredible. Domino's was having a 15% off gift card sale around christmas time, so I bought myself $50 worth of them. I already buy it once or twice a month anyway, so it's saving me money. Been eating cheaper (and it's already cheap) pizza ever since. Gift card is about to run out though, so I'm kind of regretting not buying more.
Anyone have fun plans for Valentine's day?
